The ceremony was held at the Carpenters’ Company in the City of London and represented the first time plumbers, carpenters, joiners and lightmongers have joined forces for such an occasion.

Last month, the Scottish government carried out a £2 million boiler scrappage scheme, which may have increased demand for plumbing courses in the country, as engineers trained to become qualified for such installation jobs.
